Responsibilities of Arab and Islamic Organizations

The publishers and team at Islamic Tourism magazine
have expended great effort in terms of technical specifications to bring you a quality journal. Since it is essentially two magazines in one (English and Arabic), the publishers have devised an innovative approach to numbering the pages. It begins with odd numbers for the Arabic version, from the right, and even numbers for the English version, from the left. This new approach will, it is hoped, be easier for readers of each language to follow. In doing so, we have benefited twice from photographs, different but related pictures being used for each of the English texts and the Arabic.

We hope that the new style of numbering the magazine’s pages will be appreciated by readers.

In this issue, Islamic Tourism magazine moves away
from the first stage of its introduction and launch, to
distribution and extending its readership, continuing
to honour its commitment to introducing the diversity
of tourism, heritage and landmarks throughout the
Islamic world.

The role of government as well as organizations, foundations and individuals working in the field of tourism is paramount in promoting and maintaining Islamic Tourism. These continue to support and enhance the magazine by enriching it with fascinating articles and beautiful colour photographs, allowing the magazine to convey the impressive yet altogether factual picture of Islamic civilization to the world.

We are extremely grateful to the Arab and Islamic countries, whose cooperation with the magazine is self-evident. It is our hope that other countries will follow suit and introduce their heritage and cultural treasures to Arab and Muslim readers as well.

Issuing the magazine in both Arabic and English allows for a wide a distribution base as possible. The last two issues were no easy task, and the cost and effort involved, including the magazine’s conceptualization and the sheer numbers of staff and contributors involved, all went towards ensuring that Islamic Tourism is available at all good bookshops as well as other places.

Glancing through its pages, the reader will no doubt see the fruits of such efforts and glean from it the dedication of all those involved in its production and distribution. We therefore hope and pray for your support in furtherance of the magazine’s objectives and mission.

God Bless
