Bahrain urged to take part in MTE

Bahrain Tribune 6 February, 2004 Turkey’s Ambassador to Bahrain, Hilal Baskal, has urged Bahrainis
to attend the fourth Mediterranean Tourism Exhibition - MTE 2004 - which will be held at the CNR Expo in Istanbul on February 19-22.
“This is a very important international get-together that offer a wide spectrum of opportunities to people involved in the tourism industry, and we would like our Bahraini friends to be part of the international show,” Baskal told the Tribune yesterday.
The exhibition will be held under the patronage of the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies, the Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Maritime Trade and Commodity Exchange of Turkey and the International Trade Fairs.
“The event, which aims to bring together tourism professionals from across the world, will be attended by tour operators and hotels from Turkey, the US, Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa and the Far East,” she said.
“There will also be a large number of airlines, transportation companies, and yacht and harbour enterprises,” the Turkish ambassador said.
“Conferences on new developments in the tourism sector will be held on the sidelines of the exhibition.
“The conference are also of great interest to Bahrainis and other Gulf nationals who are genuinely keen on bolstering the tourism sector,” Baskal said.
