The Premier perspective: Competition vs Imitation

The summer holidays are over, and we hope you had a relaxing break. For most of us, it’s now back to business with renewed energy, ready to face the challenges of our demanding industry.

Indeed, the incentives market is a very competitive industry, where value for money is a decisive factor. In order to compete effectively, we at Premier don’t simply focus on what we can offer, but what our clients enjoy and appreciate.

This summer, I had the opportunity to participate in an incentive trip as a traveller, rather than an organizer. This was not only a change, but also a valuable experience that allowed me to compare what we at Premier offer as a DMC, with my expectations as an actual member of an incentive group.

Our itinerary took us to various European destinations in Holland, Denmark, Scotland and the UK. These more or less neighbouring countries had several common features; but what impressed me the most was discovering the differences. Because the real charm of any destination – and what gives it a competitive edge – is its ability to differentiate itself from others.

Here in Cyprus, our goal is not to ‘imitate’ other destinations. On the contrary, Premier’s efforts focus on highlighting the special features and attractions of our island. We want our incentive groups to return home with pleasant – but also authentic – memories of Cyprus, to enjoy activities and impressions that are closely linked to the distinctive character of our local heritage, our culture, our natural landscape, our gastronomy, and of course our world-famous hospitality.

At the same time, and depending on the individual group’s profile, this local colour can be complemented, as much or as little as desired, with internationally appreciated holiday elements such as a round of golf, the pampering experience of a luxurious spa, or a themed corporate gala event.

Whatever the final formula, Premier understands the high expectations of our upmarket clientele. We will ensure that the desired programme is presented within a framework of the highest standards in terms of accommodation, suppliers, and service, to offer you the best of Cyprus, on a silver platter...

Drop us a line or give us a no-obligation call to discuss your needs and expectations for the coming season; the Premier Team can make it happen!
