Cyprus tourism launches e-learning portal for travel trade

With the Mediterranean all-weather charms and pearl-like settings of Cyprus proving to be increasingly popular among Middle Eastern tourists, the regional arm of the Cyprus Tourism Organisation (CTO) in Dubai, has recently launched an e-learning portal www.agentslovecyprus.com to further popularise the island as a leisure and incentive destination among travel agents and DMCs in the region.

Attractively showcasing the island\'s scenic beauty and golden beaches in a collection of stunning photographs, the portal is a vast source of useful information for those interested in building packages for Cyprus. The site includes handy tips, brochures, details of important towns, beaches, archaeological sites, trekking routes as well as a comprehensive outline of the island\'s history and culture over the years.

Agents Love Cyprus is a simple tool that can be used by all those, which are working in the travel field and want to increase their working knowledge on Cyprus. It allows the user to simply log in, read the material , perhaps do some online reading and answer 60 questions. The users can study and answer these questions at their own pace, enabling them to pass the program and become certified Cyprus specialists.

CTO will offer all agents who complete this program the following:

- Cyprus Travel Expert Certificate (hard and soft copies), promotional materials, media library, which includes images, videos, and research.

- Cyprus Travel Expert Agents will be supplied with regular information (via email) and brochures (mailings) plus a sales presentation on Cyprus to show to their clients.

- Allowance to use the Love Cyprus and Cyprus Travel Expert Logos (when promoting Cyprus travel and tourism programs), priority with joint marketing campaigns, support from CTO up to 80%.

- The best graduates who took the Cyprus Travel Expert Course will have chance to be invited to an exclusive familiarization trip to Cyprus.
