airBaltic Teams Up With Nordeka to Improve AirportExpress Shuttle Service

Latvian national airline airBaltic has teamed up with AS Nordeka, a major Riga-based bus operator, to improve its AirportExpress shuttle bus service linking Riga International Airport with the city centre, main hotels and the central bus station.
Gregory Pomerantsev, Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing of airBaltic: “We are delighted to see improvements to AirportExpress service – a fleet of new busses, more stops in the city and at main hotels, and better connections to Riga Bus Terminal. These improvements are important for airBaltic passengers travelling to/from destinations in Europe, Scandinavia, Middle East, Russia/CIS”.
Sergejs Zabavņikovs, Chairman of AS Nordeka: “From Riga central bus station, our bus fleet daily serve more than 60 bus intercity lines between our capital and towns in Latvia and abroad. We are happy to become the operator of AirportExpress, and link the airport with Riga city. Now any of over 3 million airBaltic passengers from Europe, Middle East, Russia can go not only to the city centre, but also conveniently transfer to cities and towns beyond Riga. And, vice versa, passengers from places like Daugavpils, Valmiera, Balvi, or Ventspils will have better access to the Baltic region’s biggest airport in Riga.”
The improved AirportExpress bus serves the route between Riga Airport and Riga city centre with following stops: Riga Airport - Hotel ABC (Zolitudes str.) - Islande Hotel (Kipsalas str.) - Maritim Park Hotel Riga (Slokas str.) - Hotel Riga (Old Town) - Opera Hotel & SPA (Central Station) - Tallink Hotel Rīga (Elizabetes str.) - Radisson Blu Hotel Latvija (Elizabetes and Brivibas street crossing) - Albert Hotel (Dzirnavu str.) - Hotel Domina Inn Riga/Monika Centrum Hotels (Elizabetes and Pulkveza Brieza street crossing) - Central bus station (Pragas str.) - Maritim Park Hotel Riga (Slokas str.) - Islande Hotel (Kipsalas str.) - Hotel ABC (Zolitudes str.) - Riga Airport.
A journey from Riga Airport to city centre takes approximately 20 minutes, but during peak hours it may take longer. One-way tickets for EUR 5, LVL 3, LTL 15 are available at www.airBaltic.com and airBaltic ticket offices, at hotels, and from the bus driver.
airBaltic serves over 80 destinations from its home base in Riga, Latvia. From every one of these, airBaltic offers convenient connections via North Hub Riga to its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East.
