http://atm.c.topica.com/maaj2OiabE0kWbI7n7bcafpRdn/ Amouage was founded 25 years ago by His Highness Sayyid Hamad bin Hamoud al bu Said, at the request of His Majesty, Sultan Qaboos bin Said, the ruler of the Sultanate of Oman. He wanted to create perfumes which would reflect the world heritage and traditions of his country and offer fragrances which are synonymous with Oman. These most exotic and valuable perfumes were offered as gifts to his most honoured guests.
It was also their intention to tell the world about the special ingredients particularly found in Oman - these being the rarest frankincense from the Dhofar region in the south of the country, and the rarest of all, the rock rose, harvested high up in the Jebel Akhdar mountain ranges, towering above the capital of Oman, Muscat.
Today The House of Amouage is dedicated to leading the company to still greater international success. New and exciting products continue to be developed, without ever compromising on quality. Amouage perfumes remain unique due to the finest of ingredients being used, reflecting the culture and heritage of Oman.
Amouage will continue to be a niche, highly-prized brand, sought after by only the most sophisticated and discerning international consumers. Probably being the most expensive perfume in the world, Amouage offers a truly luxurious experience.
Visitors to Oman can take a tour of the House of Amouage as part of their scheduled sightseeing experience. Contact your local Oman destination management company for more information.
