www.allAfrica.com A Qatar Airways aircraft landed at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos to herald a new beginning of air transportation link between Nigeria and Qatar.
With Lagos becoming the 72nd destination in the network of Qatar Airways, customers can look forward to a three weekly service between Lagos and Doha using the airline's state-of-the-art Airbus A330 aircraft, in a two-class configuration of Business and Economy.
On departure at the airport all the launch customers were presented with gifts, souvenirs and a special certificate to commemorate the inaugural flight. A customer, Michael Adujuya who commented on the gifts said: "This is a special souvenir I will like to pass on to my children. This is my very first time of getting a gift on an aircraft".
The inaugural flight was captained by a Cameroonian pilot and a multi-national crew composed of 9 other nationalities, showing the multi-cultural, multi-lingual and multi-ethnic background of the crew, and the sensitivity to customer care by the airline. That perhaps explains why the airline's cabin crew has consistently won international awards. |
