www.tehrantimes.com Mexico’s National Museum of Anthropology was flocked by the biggest-ever number of people allured by “Persia, a Fragment of Paradise” exhibition.
According to an article which appeared on El Universal daily, the museum played host to about 10,000 people in one day, a new record in its 47-year career.
The exhibition is displaying 350 artifacts from 10,000 years of Iranian history and civilization.
The artifacts, which are on loan from National Museum of Iran (NMI), will be on display until March 24 as the exhibit is scheduled to travel to Brazil and Colombia.
“The exhibition has been so acclaimed by Mexican people that the museum’s library has provided almost 50 books on Iran, ranging from children’s books to historical and scientific ones,” read a part of the article.
It adds that a total of 112,984 guests have visited the exhibition up to Sunday.
A group of scientists and historians is introducing the history of Iranian civilization to the visitors on the sidelines of the exhibition.
The event will open in Colombia in 2008 concurrent with the sessions of the United Nations World Tourism Organization to be held in the South American country. |
