Iranian Couple To Tour The World In 800 Days

www.chnpress.com For the first time, the adventuresome Iranian couple will travel around the world in 800 days. “Ma’soumeh Amiri Moghadam” and “Mahmud Gheidi” will start their trip within 50 days with slogan of “In Admiration of Life”.

This trip will be supported by Promoting Iranian Researches Institute in an attempt to introduce the culture, tradition and characteristics of Iranian families. Distributing some brochures about Iran in English language is also among the programs of this couple.

This couple had already traveled to Silk Road and now are preparing themselves for starting their 800-day tour around the world.

“Around the World in 800 Days” will be a new initiative taken by this Iranian couple for exploring the five continents by their motorcycles. Prior to this, Omidvar brothers embarked on the same travel in 1950’s, however they could not finish their trip.

Gheidi who describes this trip as “Everest Motorbiking” told CHN: “We were supposed to start our trip by next month, however due to facing some problems in official process and lack of supports by governmental organizations such as Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization, made us to postpone our trip.”

The Iranian couple will make their trip with a 1000 cc motorbike. “This motor which is known as touring motor is special for world touring. This motorbike was made in 1979, however we have upgraded it for this trip ,” added Gheidi.

He also mentioned that they will use English and Spanish languages in their trip.

Regarding launching a website for broadcasting the news about this couple during their trip around the world, Ramezani, director of private institute of Promoting Iranian Researches Institute said: “Unfortunately Iranian National Broadcast do not cooperate with us in this regard, and we try to inform people through this website both inside and outside the country to attract their financial support for this tour.”

He further mentioned that this measure will encourage young people to travel around the world and will promote the sense of sport in them and keeping them away from social harms.

According to Gheidi, the costs for such a trip would be some 30,000 US Dollars which will include the expenses of food, camping, and petrol.

This couple will start their trip from Turkey and then they will tour around European countries such as Greek, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, probably England, then they will head for Canada and the United States(if they succeed to get the visa). Traveling to central and southern American countries including Venezuela, Cuba, Mexico, Panama, Ecuador, Peru and Chili is also in plan of this adventurous couple. They will have a tour in African countries including South Africa, Mozambique and north African countries including Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, and Egypt (provided that they get the visa). They are also going to have a tour in Oceania continent by visiting Australia and New Zealand. By traveling to Asian countries including Indonesia, Philippines, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, India, Yeman, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, and Syria they will wrap up their tour around the world. These two motorcyclists will embark ship for passing inter continental distances.

After passing 2000-kilometer path of San Jac in southern France, they will go to northern Spain. Visiting the majestic palace of Alhamra in Spain, Fatima Shrine in Portugal, and remains of Inca’s Empire in Peru and passing through Cuba are the most important programs of this couple during their tour around the world.

This Iranian couple shows a lot of enthusiast for starting their adventurous travel although they have also expressed their concerns about getting visa from some countries and existence of civil war in some of them which may make some changes in their tirp plan during their 800- day traveling around the world.
