www.chnpress.com The project for establishing Tehran’s show garden, in Abbasabad Hills, as a part of the mega project of Ferdowsi’s cultural and artistic gardens is under investigation.
Announcing the news, Ali Akbar Tashakornia, managing director of Tehran’s cultural areas development company said: “During the recent years a project for dividing Abbasabad hills into different gardens under the name of Ferdowsi’s museum gardens has been prepared and approved by Tehran’s municipality. Based on this project, museum gardens with subjects of book, theatre, cinema, music, and other cultural issues are due to be constructed and this center will be turned into one of the main cultural-tourism axis in Tehran.”
Among these gardens, the initials for construction of two museum gardens of holly defense and book have already came into force. According to Tashakornia, in addition to show garden, designs of art garden and holly Qoran garden have been almost prepared to be constructed.
Pointing out that 40,000 square meters area has been considered for construction of the show garden, the managing director of Tehran’s cultural areas development company explained: “Based on the prepared plan, a complex consisted of professional theatre, music and movie halls will be also devised in the show garden project.”
He further explained that the main effort of Tehran’s municipality is to construct a theater center which meets the needs of a big and populated city like Tehran, therefore such a mega project require enough time and budget. “We can not sacrifice the quality of such a big project for speeding things up. The main aim of Tehran’s Municipality for launching this complex is to establish show halls according to international standards. Therefore, we are trying to provide enough budget to be able to complete the project,” said Tashakornia.
If the project of show museum garden comes into force, it would be the second mega project which has been put forward by Tehran’s Municipality during the past two years for promoting the number and quality of theatre halls in the city
