Iran has a meager share of 0.1 percent in the world tourism revenues, said Vice-President and Head of the Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization Hossein Mar’ashi.
Mar’ashi told his personnel that necessary policies and strategic plans need to be adopted for the promotion of tourism.
He said Iran's tourism revenues will reach $25 billion in the next 20 years, over $15 billion of which would be value added.
He added that national stability is the key to the promotion of tourism and 85 of 100 tourists visiting Iran have been satisfied with Iran's domestic stability. He told IRNA that more than one million tourists visited Iran last year, earning the country more than $900 million. |
