www.independent.co.uk One of the largest pyramids in ancient Central America, built 2,000 years ago for an unknown purpose is to be subjected to a space-age experiment to see if it contains burial chambers.
Mexican researchers are placing detectors in a tunnel under the Pyramid of the Sun, north-east of Mexico City, to capture sub-atomic particles from space that penetrate the pyramid. Areas where the sub-atomic particles, muons, are passing through more easily could be chambers.
