Ayla Oasis Supports Middle East Travel & Tourism Summit

Ayla Oasis Development Co. is creating a world class water front development in the Red Sea city of Aqaba south of Jordan which will dramatically transform Aqaba by creating an additional 17km of seafront from a 235m strip on the Gulf of Aqaba.

Ayla Oasis will be featured at the Middle East Travel and Tourism Summit that will take place in Jordan on 26 and 27 February 2006 under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II. The development scheme, built around a series of man-made lagoons and water canals, includes 5 up-market hotels ranging between 90 to 600 hotel beds; 3000 residential units; an 18-hole Signature golf course; a 9-hole golf academy; as well as a town center that encompasses a marina, retail units, cafés, entertainment and recreational facilities.

Mr. Sahl Dudin, Managing Director of Ayla Oasis, said “We are delighted to be associated with the first annual Middle East Travel and Tourism Summit that will be launched in Jordan and to be supporting its activities. Our project will become a major tourist attraction in the region offering tourists and families a unique tourism and cultural experience that will significantly enhance Jordan’s tourism product”.

The 2-day conference will focus on sustainable development through tourism by building strong partnerships between local, regional and international private & public sectors. Designed to assist in developing tourism markets in the Middle East, METTS will explore a broad spectrum of topics assisting in infrastructure development in the travel and tourism sector. Underpinning all panels will be a core focus on sustainable development through responsible tourism and reduction of unemployment.

“More than Four thousands job opportunities will be created through Ayla Oasis that will contribute to the sustainable development of the Jordanian economy, added Dudin”. “Closely working with the Aqaba Special Economic Zone, Ayla Oasis offers a wide range of investment opportunities for developers and individuals in hotels, residential communities, commercial and recreational outlets including an aqua park, water sports facilities, golf courses and others. We will be highlighting these opportunities and providing an update on the project at the forthcoming Middle East Travel and Tourism Summit in Jordan”,.
