Ethiopia is trying to gain experiences from Egypt, which has been securing up to three billion US dollars annually, he said, adding that the ministry is now ready to promote the unique attractions of the country by distributing magazines, videos and CDs in the airlines of both countries.
Entrepreneurs and professionals working in the sector would in particular be encouraged to exchange experiences on the joint tourism promotion agreement and emphasis has been given to improve the performance of the sector.
In a related development, a project that focuses on incorporating the culture and life style of the people of Konso to the sustainable poverty reduction project of the World Tourism Organization has received acceptance at the recently held meeting of the organization, he stated. |
