Madrid-Motaz Othman
I was driven last January, during the FITUR exhibition, by the sound of music coming from Goa’s stand. I found so many visitors interested in music and learning about tourism in this Indian state.
The memories of the days I spent there came flooding back to me. I remembered the sandy coast where several international tourist resorts were built. There are also guest houses ready to welcome visitors. In Goa there are facilities for all water sports, fishing and steam boat rides. While I was there I had the chance to visit villages, parks and nature reserves. There were groves lined with mango and nanas stretching for miles. There is also the good warm weather which makes it an unforgettable experience.
I really enjoyed the sea food, such as prawns and shell fish. There is also a variety of chicken dishes.
The souvenirs are unique, especially the gifts made from palm trees and pottery.
You can reach Goa by air or by train from Mombay and Delhi. You can also travel overland.
The Goa people have been extending a hospitable welcome to tourists for centuries and they always make you feel at home in their beautiful, clean land. |
