Singapore is preparing to receive thousands of seasonal visitors for its annual ‘Christmas in the Tropics’ festivities, this year marked by the completion of Marina Bay developments and the opening of the world’s largest aquarium.
Gulf-based travellers will find a multitude of reasons to be jolly during Singapore’s upcoming festival, which will take place from 20 November to 2 January, announced tourism board officials.
“The holidays in Singapore offer something for everyone in the Gulf family to enjoy, from mild climate and a myriad of entertaining activities to a first-class shopping experience, all alongside luxurious accommodations,” said Mohamed Hafez Marican, Singapore Tourism Board’s Area Director for the Middle East and Africa.
Shopping centres, Tangs and Takashimaya, will be competing with illuminating decorations that creep magically from ground level to rooftop, while other major malls such as Wisma Atria, Orchard Central, and ION attract Gulf visitors to their radiant shows.
The streets of Orchard Road will also feature street performers going wild with their capers and feats of gravity defying acrobatics. Human statues roam around freely and interact with the crowds and stilt-walkers skip about, always game for a picture or two.
Amidst the holiday excitement, an unforgettable marine journey awaits Gulf families at an action-packed aquatic world at Marine Life Park™, Resorts World™ Sentosa Singapore, will feature two world-class attractions - the world’s largest aquarium at S.E.A. Aquarium™ and Adventure Cove Waterpark™.
At the aquarium, visitors will marvel at more than 800 species of marine animals from magnificent sharks to rarely sighted fish. The tropical amusement park showcases adrenaline-packed waterslides and an epic journey along Adventure River, where snorkelers can swim with 20,000 colorful reef fish and wade with dozens of sting rays.
Marine Life Park™, Resorts World™ Sentosa Singapore will open its doors to guests on 7 December 2012. |
