Jet Airways Starts Flights To Kuwait And Bahrain

Khaleej Times: Jet Airways (India) Ltd., the nation's biggest domestic carrier, started daily direct flights to Kuwait and Bahrain.
Jet Airways will fly to Kuwait and Bahrain from the southern Indian city of Kochi, the company announced. It will also fly daily to Bahrain from the commercial hub of Mumbai, and to Kuwait from New Delhi.
The airline received government approval in September to start flights this month to the Middle East, ending state monopoly on routes that connect to a region where about four million Indians work. India in 2005 allowed private airlines with more than five years of domestic operations to start flights overseas, except to countries in the Middle East.
Jet Airways has flights to cities outside India including New York, Toronto, London, and Singapore. The airline yesterday said it plans to start flights to other cities in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia.
