IndiGo, India's fastest growing airline is all set to launch its maiden international flight on Delhi-Dubai-Delhi sector on September 1, 2011.
It will mark IndiGo's foray into the international arena after successful completion of five years of domestic flying. IndiGo jointly with Dubai Airport will host a water cannon ceremony on September 01 at the Dubai
International Airport.
The ceremony would be followed by a short informal speech by the Dubai Airport staff, IndiGo and Dnata, and a cake cutting ceremony, carrying IndiGo's logo. The first flight, 6E-022, will fly out from Dubai to New Delhi at 2215hrs. To share the joy of going global with its customers, country's most innovative airline will present the passengers with "The World's Smallest Certificate", welcoming them on board.
IndiGo will operate daily-direct flight services between Dubai-Delhi and Delhi-Dubai at an affordable return fare of Dh816 AED or Rs9,999 (All inclusive). Effective 02nd October, 2011 the airline will also connect Dubai with Mumbai. Flights would operate to and from Dubai at the Dubai International Airport and New Delhi from Terminal 3 at the Indira Gandhi International Airport offering smooth, faster and hassle free airport experience for travellers.
