Following the latest political developments in Lebanon, the Arab World Travel and Tourism Exchange (AWTTE 2005) survived the turmoil adding to its list of exhibitors more than three national pavilions who are participating for the first time. Greece, Iran and North Cyprus, to name a few, will showcase with more than 20% of the exhibiting space.
In addition to the new destinations at this year’s exhibition Cyprus, Egypt, India, Jordan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Morocco, Qatar, Sharjah, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey and Lebanon will also be part of the show. Qatar will be the Guest Country for 2005 with exceptional advertising opportunities supported by Qatar Airways to promote the destination.
The host country, Lebanon, will be exhibiting with an aggressive promotional campaign accompanied by major tourist cities and main attractions. Exhibitors and visitors will get the chance to discover Lebanon during tours organized before and after the exhibition. Tour operators and hotels in Lebanon will also exhibit their latest packages and offers for the coming season.
Hotel chains, such as Le Royal Hotels, who are also this year’s Gold Host Hotel Sponsor, the InterContinental Hotel Group, Movenpick Hotels & Resorts, Metropolitan Hotels and Safir Hotels in addition to local and private hotels in Lebanon, have already booked their space.
