Pool&SpaTech Asia will take the stage once again from 19-21 September 2012 at Hall 5, IMPACT Exhibition & Convention Center in Bangkok, Thailand. The trade event has recently been rebranded to Pool&SpaTech Asia to further redefine and expand its event profile. Businesses that are keen to explore opportunities in Asia, in particular Thailand, stand to reap the benefits arising from a robust tourism plan which had been developed for the Kingdom of Thailand. Aimed at increasing tourism income by at least 5% during the 5-year plan, this plan covers 385 tourism development projects in eight tourism clusters for upgrading of basic infrastructure, landscaping and convenience at tourist sites nationwide. The beach resorts will receive the biggest slice of the budget with 3.98 billion baht to fund 141 projects nationwide. In addition, a National Tourism Development Plan with a budget of 6.65 million baht (US$218 million) budget has been approved by Thailand’s Cabinet and will take force from 2012 to 2016.
A series of industry seminars will be held simultaneously with the trade exhibition. Seminar topics range from eco-friendly construction, planning, engineering, managing, innovating and management of swimming pool & spa hardware. Each seminar track is designed to provide the latest updates in technologies and product development in the industry. A specialised seminar track on green landscaping and eco-friendly solutions for green spaces will be organised for business professionals in the landscape industry. Delegates with a specialised interest in the spa and well-being industry will also have the opportunity to leverage on a knowledge-exchange platform at the World Spa & Well-being Congress.
In addition, the much anticipated pool/spa operator certification program will take place alongside the trade event for its second year. This two-day training program is certified by the National Swimming Pool Foundation and will provide training for efficient, effective, economical and safe use of swimming pools and spas. This program has delivered more trainings than any other program in the pool and spa industry worldwide since 1972, resulting in more than 200,000 successful CPO certifications in 44 countries.
Mr. John Hassett, Chief Operating Officer for Informa Exhibitions Asia commented, “As organisers, we are certain of the great potential in Asia, especially Thailand, with its growing tourism and private property industries. Together, Pool&SpaTech Asia and World Spa & Well-being Convention will provide access to suppliers and trade professionals with a direct and targeted way to do business and meet their targeted buyers on one platform at the same time. The trade exhibitions and dedicated conferences and seminars also serve as an annual gathering place for industry experts and trade professionals to network, exchange views and update themselves on the latest industry trends and technologies.”
