Accor Thailand currently has a network of 52 hotels with 11,903 rooms, comprising 26 hotels in Bangkok, seven in Phuket, and three each in Koh Samui and Chiang Mai. Joining the network in the last few months are the 200-room ibis Hua Hin and 303-room Novotel Phuket Vintage.
The chain has eight new hotels with 1,537 rooms in the pipeline. They are Pullman Phuket Arcadia, Novotel Kamala Bay Phuket, three Mercure hotels - two in Bangkok and one in ChaAm, and three ibis hotels in Bangkok, Chonburi and Krabi.
Stevens said following a good first quarter, forward bookings for May and June were at satisfactory levels with the majority of businesses coming from Asia and Middle East both leisure and meeting segments.
