Pattaya – Thailand 

Every time when I arrive to Thailand for meetings or events, I feel that I need to stay more days to enjoy the hospitality, wonderful nature and the tasty food, and before all to enjoy the Thai smiles, simply Thailand, where I love to be.  

My visit to Thailand this time was for the IT&CM Asia that took place in Bangkok between 2-4 October 2012, and as I mentioned above, I love to stay more days, so I choose Pattaya City to relax after the busy meetings and media briefings during IT&CMA.

During the event, I met with Mr. Shah from Royal Cliff Resort in Pattaya and he invited me to stay few days in the Resort. 

From Bangkok and with friends from Macadonia and my friend Ms. Greta from Bulgaria, we took a shuttle bus to Pattaya , the high way is really nice with green scenes, around  90 minutes we arrived to Pattaya, and to The Royal Cliff Hotels Group, the multi award-winning perfectly situated in a 64 acre estate overlooking the stunning Gulf of Thailand.  

The resort comprises of four 5-star hotels – Royal Cliff Beach Hotel, Royal Cliff Beach Terrace, Royal Cliff Grand Hotel and Royal Wing Suites & Spa.   

The newly enhanced resort offers 1,090 rooms/suites and a range of facilities including 11 restaurants, 2 spas, 6 swimming pools, 7 floodlit tennis courts, 2 air-conditioned squash courts, state-of-the-art fitness center, 4-hole putting green, Thai cooking school, exclusive beach, catamaran, excursions to nearby tropical islands and an extensive range of meeting and banqueting facilities, including 3 ballrooms and 53 meeting rooms.  

A prominent facility of the resort, Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall (PEACH) is a world-class multipurpose ‘one stop convention solution’ for any meeting needs. This highly rated column-free convention center accommodates up to 8,000 delegates in theatre-style seating. 

During my stay, I had the chance to meet with Mrs. Panga Vathanakul, the Managing Director of The Royal Cliff Resort, First, I congratulate her for the Award that The Resort received during the TTG Travel Awards 2012, and I asked her: 

Q: I saw a certificate that you have the Halal Food here in The Royal Cliff, can you tell me about it and other facilities for Middle East Visitors? 

A: The Halal Science Center are having a program to assist in teaching people how to cook a Halal Food, we went through the program they came and helped us and gave us the certification \\\" Hal-Q\\\", so we have a complete Halal Food kitchen in our resort for Arabs and Muslims visitors.

For kids, we have a swimming pool and children paradise, we are carrying it to a new height for ages between 3 to 11 years, older children can enjoy internet area, this area was designed from Canadian designer, she did also the design for Atlantis Hotel in Dubai.

Honeymooners are welcomed here, we have the Royal Cliff Beach Terrace designed for honeymooners with green area, swimming pools, very beautiful view, all rooms are re-decorated, Baths are equipped with Jacuzzi, there are only curtains between the room and the Bath, it can be closed or open.

 Q: How many staff you have in The Resort?

A: 1400 hundred staff, 1.3 to each guest, we have employers from different  nationalities. 

Q: What about Spas and other facilities

A: Two Spas, one located in a whole floor and we receive very good comment from the visitors to the Spa,  also we have beauty salon, fitness club very modern machines that always improving,  Seven tennis court , every year many famous tennis players staying here for one month and practice. 

Q: What about prices and Rates?

A: We are giving same prices for both the Travel Agents and Internet booking sights, Travelers can check both and choose the best price. 

Q: In Pattaya, what people and tourists can see and enjoy?

A: Pattaya offers its visitors many places to see and to enjoy, The Tropical Island, Underwater treasures, Pattaya Dolphin, Crocodile Farm, Pattaya floating market, Koh Laun Island, Nong Nooch Garden, Elephant village, Buddha mountain, famous walking street, Excellent food and Hotels etc, and most they can enjoy the Thai Hospitality. 

Finally, what can you say to Middle East and Arab Travelers?  

A: I would like to say that we find Arabs and Middle East Travelers people are very nice people, we would like to welcome them more to Pattaya and to our Resort, now we have made facilities for them, The Halal Kitchen, Kids Area, Spas, fitness Center and we study all the time what please them, we wish them all the best.
