Tunisia Online: Radison, a major Belgian hotel chain has recently invested in a luxury hotel in the island of Djerba . The investment which is Radison's first in Tunisia and in North Africa as a whole, is "a testimony of the trust that major international groups place in Tunisia ", said Mr Tijani Haddad, Tunisia 's Minister of Tourism, as he inaugurated the new unit.
On his part, Radison's CEO Mr Kurt Ritter said in a press conference that both Tunisia and his group are aiming at setting up a high standard, quality tourism aimed at business and congress tourists.
He added that the group's new five star Djerba unit meets this requirement. With a capacity of 592 beds, the hotel is also endowed with 20 lavish suites and 276 rooms with sea view.
The new hotel also offers a wide range of restaurants catering for different tastes (oriental, European, Italian etc), a 3000 square meter state of the art thalasso-therapy/spa unit, in addition to 7 conference rooms all equipped with the latest cutting edge technology.
Mr Ritter also said that the new unit is in line with international norms, adding that his group was planning to open another unit in the capital in the near future.
Radison operates 279 hotels over 47 countries. |
