in the objectives and orientations of the tenth Development Plan (2002-2006) in Tunisia. These two sectors "offer real opportunities to accelerate the rhythm of economic growth in Tunisia".
The expectations and orientations for the tourism sector were based on the flourishing of this sector since the year 2003. The sector should reach a growth rate of 7.2% per year during the plan period.
A special focus is also noted in the leisure sector especially with a new study which is under way to encourage the promotion of investments in this sector.
