Turkey To Restore Cultural Properties Abroad

www.zaman.com Turkey begins the maintenance and restoration of cultural properties in Europe. Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Atilla Koc said the resources for the restoration of the Tomb of Suleiman Shah, which is in Syria, has been provided.
The Minister went on to say that the investigations regarding the new use and restoration of the Stone Bridge Mosque, which is located in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, and the Cukur Mosque, which is located in Cuma Street of Plovdiv, have begun.
Minister Koc reported the list of the places which the Ministry will research and protect: "Cemetery for Ottoman Turkish Soldiers in Prizren, Kosovo, the Stone Bridge and Telegraph Office in Skopje, the capital of Macedonia; Madrasah Zindzhirli, Haji Giray Khan Tomb in the Crimean Khanate, the New Mosque located in the Kashbah of Algiers, Al-Barka Quarters in Benghazi-Libya, Ibrahim Pasha Mosque in Razgrad-Bulgaria, Hasan Riza Pasha Cemetery of Turkish Soldiers in Iskodra, Albania, and the Tomb of Sultan Murad I in Kosovo-Serbia.
