80% of youth prefer to join tourism sector

In a recent questionnaire conducted by a statistic Saudi company, 80% of the participants -the total of entries 2783- both female and male, have seen working in tourism sector is convenient to them.
The findings of this questionnaire, which basically aims at identifying people trends on working in tourism sector, have shown a positive shift in people's view about working in tourism sector.
It has also revealed that, 73% of the participants refused old negative concepts that saying society rejects tourism jobs. 49% of the entries said they think of joining tourism jobs, while 86% of the entries confirmed their agreement to join part time jobs in tourist sector.
Travel and tourism agencies sector was chosen by 47% as their first option if they want to join the sector for the time being, while antiquities and museum came second and tourism accommodation sector came third.
90% of the entries referred to the importance of existence of educational programs to encourage Saudis to join tourism sector. Participation of age category from 21 to 25-year-old was 38%, followed by 26-30-year-old category with 27%. University graduates entries was 49%, while secondary school graduates entries reached 33%.
Noteworthy, the questionnaire which was lasted for one month, had been posted over thirteen websites belonging to daily newspapers, sport clubs and specialized training institutes
