Best Western International has launched its first hotel, the 86-room Best Western Orchid Hotel, in Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The hotel chain entered the country earlier this year with the opening of the Best Western Plus Sand Rose Suites in the Gulf city of Al Khobar.
Glenn de Souza, the chain’s vice president international operations for Asia and the Middle East, said Best Western International anticipated a bright future for Saudi Arabia.
“With a fast-growing economy driving the business travel sector and pilgrimage traffic that is going from strength-to-strength, demand for hotel accommodation in the Kingdom will grow exponentially in the next decade,” he said.
In the next two years, Best Western International expects to open nine new hotels in seven cities across the Kingdom, adding 1,589 rooms to the country’s inventory. |
