Dubai participates in AIME 2005 in Melbourne

www.dubaitourism.ae Australia was the latest stop for the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) to promote Dubai’s remarkable tourist facilities through its participation at the 13th Asia-Pacific Incentive & Meetings Expo (AIME) in Melbourne.
AIME is one of Australia’s premier travel exhibitions and the 2004 edition featured more than 750 participants from 45 countries. This year, the exhibition has attracted more than 100 new exhibitors and is covering nearly 8,000 square metres.
According to Mr. Mohammed Khamis bin Hareb, DTCM Director Operations & Marketing, "The exhibition is part of DTCM’s strategy to promote Dubai to the Australian travel industry. The emirate has been seeing year on year increase in the number of tourists from Australia."
DTCM participated at the event with the support of Dubai’s private sector. Co-participants at the show include Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa, Alpha Tours, Sun & Sand Hotel, Oasis Adventures, The Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Madinat Jumeirah, Gulf Ventures-MMI, Dubai Convention Bureau, Arabian Adventures, Grand Hyatt Dubai and Dubai International Convention Centre.
AIME 2005 was a must attend event for anyone involved in organizing incentives, conferences, meetings, business events or exhibitions and will offer more than 150 new products and services, new destinations, a new professional development seminar programme and a range of networking opportunities. The DTCM, established in 1997, is the principal authority for planning and supervising the development of tourism and the commercial industry sector in Dubai. In order to make it the leading destination in the world, the DTCM undertakes comprehensive international promotional campaigns, on tourism and commercial opportunities. In addition to the headquarters in Dubai, DTCM has 14 overseas offices located in New York, Sydney, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, Johannesburg, London, Milan, Moscow, Mumbai, Paris, Stockholm, Tokyo and Zurich, all providing tourism and commercial information, and outstanding service to tourists and business visitors. DTCM is also the sole licensing body for hotels, hotel apartments, tour operators, tourist transport companies and travel agents. Its supervisory role covers all tourist, archaeological and heritage sites, tourism conferences and exhibitions, operation of tourist information services and licensing of tour guides. |
