www.irtat.ir By Rana Dadpour New Delhi is to host Iran Cultural Week on January 1st, an official of the Iranian Cultural Attaché’s Office in the Indian capital, , Mohammadreza Mirzaii announced.
Live music performances, a photo exhibition of Iran’s archaeological monuments and natural tourist sites, an exhibition of the costumes of various ethnic groups of Iran and Ashayer, an exhibition of the country’s handicrafts and tourism attractions and a book fair are among the features of this event.
The Iranology Center of the Jamia Millia Islamia University of New Delhi will be inaugurated on the first day of the Iran Week. Iran Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Organization Director Esfandiar Rahim-Mashaii and several Iranian and Indian officials will attend the opening ceremony.
A conference on 3000 years of cultural-historical interaction between the two countries is also scheduled to be held during Iran Cultural Week.
