In collaboration with the Medical Tourism Association(MTA)- USA, The Private Hospitals Association (PHA)is organizing The International Medical Tourism, Wellness & Spa Congress that will be held at the Kempinski – (Ishtar) Hotel, Dead Sea - Jordan during the period from 18th -20thMarch 2012.
This international eventwill bringtogether public and private medical and health institutions toshedthelight on thisvital and active sector and increase the level of awareness regarding theinternational standardsfor promoting medical tourism,As well ascommunicating betweendecision makerstoprovide businessopportunitiesfor companiesto establish business relations and joint ventures.
About 400 regional and international delegatesare expected to participate in this global congress representing ministries,health attaches,hospitals, medical centers, health institutions,manufacturers ofmedical equipment& pharmaceuticals, insurance companies, medical tour operators, hotels and spas,laboratories, radiology centers and healthcare service providers in addition to scientists, doctors and researchers in thescientificand health care and global medical tourism industry.
All elements of success are available to achieve the conference objectives, especially that it will be held in Jordan, which isconsidered to be number one in the MENA region and among the top five countries globally as a medical tourism destination according to 2010 World Bank report, and the fact that Jordan is known for its talented and well educated physicians in addition to state of the art internationally accredited hospitalsequipped with the latest sophisticated medical equipments and technology.
