A new Facebook application has been launched making it easier than ever to book a room or a table at Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts in the Middle East and Asia.
Each hotel has its own distinctive Facebook page showcasing promotions, dining options and information about activities and special room rates. If guests like what they see, they can make their room or restaurant reservations through Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts’ Facebook application, the new one stop shop.
“For many people Facebook has become a preferred method of communication so it is important that we engage and listen to our guests on their terms,” said Toufic Tamim, vice president sales and marketing – Middle East, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts.
“Facebook has become an important platform for making recommendations as well as an interactive means of keeping in touch with friends, family and colleagues. For Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts it is another great way to keep our guests up to date with their favourite hotels and restaurants as well as share news and views,” says Tamim.
According to Facebook, as of June 2012 there were 955 million monthly active users speaking more than 70 languages. At least 552 million people use the social network every day.
