MATTA is pleased to announced that the 5th International Conference on Muslim Tourism, Haj & Umrah (InCoMTHU 2011) with the theme "Muslim Travel: Creating Opportunities & Overcoming Obstacles" will be held on Thursday, 14th April 2011 at the Dewan Tun Hussein Onn, Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) Kuala Lumpur.
The main objective of the Conference is to enhance unity in Muslim Tourism, Haj and Umrah, and to change people's perception about Muslim Tourism to be more competitive and successful.
The Fourth Prime Minister of Malaysia, YABhg Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad is scheduled to be the Guest of Honour and the Keynote Speaker.
With a track record of organising InCOMTHU for 4 successful years, InCOMTHU 2011 has lined up a list of well reknown Malaysian and International speakers.
We are confident of achieving our target of 200 people consisting of senior management from the various sectors of the tourism industry to attend InCOMTHU 2011.
Program
In coming up with the program, the organizing committee has factored in the views and needs of the tourism industry. These topics are among the main issues influencing the Muslim Tourism industry.

a) Direction & Planning on Umrah & Haj – The Role of JAWHAR
Get to know the Government’s role & direction with regards to Umrah & Haj travel.
b) Importance of Takaful Insurance for Malaysian Pilgrims- Tourism Industry Act 1992.
- As per the Tourism Industry Act 1992 by the Ministry of Tourism, all Malaysian Pilgrims MUST be covered by Takaful Insurance when you travel on Haj & Umrah.
c) Issuance of Visa and other relevant developments in the holy land of Saudi Arabia. Find out about the obstacles and opportunities that are available.
2) Creating Opportunities & Overcoming Obstacles
Learn about the opportunities available in the Muslim Tourism sector in countries like Australia, Kazakhstan and Malaysia from experts from the National Tourism Organizations of these countries.
3) Muslim Way of Travel
Top Management from Malaysia Airports Berhad (MAB), Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH), Ministry of Tourism Malaysia will be among panelists discussing the Muslim way of travel. This session will definitely give an insight into how to travel globally as a Muslim.
