The Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) is leading a contingent of 12 Malaysian industry partners to the Incentive Travel & Conventions Meetings (ITCM) in Shanghai from 13 – 15 April 2011.
Some recent updates from the Malaysian exhibitors are as below:
One World Hotel
The One World Hotel has invested close to RMB 7.6 million (RM 3.5 million) for upgrading its ballroom audio visual equipment to attract more meetings and conventions. Two sets of line array speakers were added in the Imperial Ballroom as well as a giant projection screen in the Ballroom, bringing the total number to two giant projection screens.
Hotel Istana Kuala Lumpur City Centre
The Hotel Istana Kuala Lumpur City Centre has successfully re-launched the Grand Mahkota Ballroom (seating 2,000 in banquet-style) as well as its meeting facilities in early March 2011 after undergoing a refurbishment and upgrading programme. The total number of meeting rooms available has increased from 13 to 16.
The meeting and banqueting facilities were re-launched following the upgrading works of its 400 guest rooms from superior to deluxe late last year. With the refurbishment, the management is targeting to increase its corporate business from an existing 50 percent to 70 percent of overall business. |
